Steve Askins, B.Sc (Hons), MBA.

Steve Askins brings the corporate perspective to CSR Consulting. With a background in corporate strategy and finance, Steve has experience in a variety of industries and has recently been working with clients on non-financial reporting and KPIs, particularly covering environmental and health and safety. Previously was responsible for strategy as a member of the Executive Board at TI Group plc, the ?3.3bn specialist engineering group, prior to TI’s merger with Smiths Industries.

Janet Sidaway, PHD, MA, MBA.

Janet Sidaway brings the investor and analyst perspective to CSR Consulting, providing a “reality check” for companies on the evolving expectations of investors on corporate governance and non- financial reporting, and how best to communicate these issues. Janet has worked in the engineering industry throughout her career in the public and private sectors, and was an engineering investment analyst for fifteen years. She was twice voted “star analyst” in Extel surveys and was voted top engineering analyst six times in the annual survey of Finance Directors.

Karen Shaw, BSc (Hons), MA, MBA.

Karen Shaw brings the SRI investor perspective to CSR Consulting. She has a background in CSR related environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy, research and stakeholder engagement. Karen has a practical business head and is a strong advocate of ‘integrated’ CSR / sustainability programs and their use as a business management tool. Karen previously worked at Schroders as an SRI analyst and has experience of developing and evaluating CSR programs across a wide range of industry sectors, including finance, mining, oil, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, construction and engineering.
